Kirtan with Ken Fishman & Wayne Lapinski

1.5 hour Workshop
All are welcome

Join Ken and Wayne for an evening of Kirtan, the chanting of healing mantras accompanied by the harmonium.

Kirtan is derived from Bhakti Yoga, and has been shown to bring our bodies back into balance, promoting holistic wellbeing. Chanting helps us regulate our sleep, energy input and output, and the “rest and digest” response of our bodies responsible for breathing, heart rate, muscles, digestion, circulation and the vocal cords. Simply put, chanting helps slow down the heart rate, lower blood pressure, relax muscles, and produce slow, regular and deep respiration.

Kirtan is not a vocal performance, it is more about the vibration created in the body from the sound. This is a shared experience with each person’s unique voice joining together to create a sound vibration in community.

Join us if you:

  • Are familiar with Kirtan and love it

  • Are interested in learning more about the practice

  • Want to explore personal wellness, healing and joy

  • Are looking to feel expanded and relaxed through the vibration and sound

  • Are a complete beginner - instruction and chant sheets will be provided

COST: $20
