Jenna Sammartino
Jenna Sammartino, ERYT-500, is a Prajna Yoga teacher and Somatic Awareness Training for Yoga (SATYA) teacher. With her contemplative approach, Jennaβs classes are a weaving of movement and mindfulness. Students are encouraged to engage a spirit of inquiry, supporting and expanding the wellbeing of the physical body while also strengthening the wisdom body through the cultivation of focused attention and insight. Her years of study in traditional yoga asana, somatic movement, anatomy, Buddhadharma, and meditation inform her teaching.
In addition to her public classes, Jenna works with private clients one-on-one and in small groups, where yoga can be further explored for its therapeutic benefits. She has been teaching since 2007 and an avid student for over two decades. A longtime student of master teachers Tias and Surya Little of Prajna Yoga, she also studies with Djuna Devereaux and has completed teacher training programs with Sarah Powers and Don and Amba Stapleton. When sheβs not on her mat, you can usually find her on the water, in her garden, or exploring the Cape off the beaten track.
