Maggie was first introduced to yoga 15 years ago when a friend invited her to a Vinyasa flow class. Over the next decade, yoga came in and out of her life, seeing her through moves to new cities and as a way to relieve physical and work related stress. After a permanent move to Boston in 2015, yoga became a consistent and important part of Maggie’s life.
Upon completing her 200 hour teacher training, Maggie began leading a variety of weekly studio classes and continued to work as an elementary school teacher by day. After becoming pregnant, she became curious about how to safely shift her own practice, while guiding expecting mothers who attended her studio classes. This led her to pursue an intensive prenatal teacher training after the birth of her son, Henry, in January 2019.
What began as a small inquiry has led to a deeper exploration of the prenatal practice. With an emphasis on safe alignment and trusting the body, she offers a calm, empowering space to move, breathe and explore. Her classes center on a strong connection to the breath and instinctive wisdom within. There is then space to meet challenges with authenticity and a bit of humor, too!
Maggie is a graduate of the Health Yoga Life Teacher Training (RYT 200) and the Boston School of Prenatal and Children’s Yoga Prenatal Teacher Training (CPYT). She continues to further her education in the prenatal space and currently lives in Boston with her husband and extremely busy toddler.
