Jenna Sammartino, E-RYT 200, is a yoga teacher, wordsmith, garden nurturer, and national park ranger who has called Cape Cod home for over 20 years.
She began to explore yoga in earnest in 2001, guided by teachers who blend Buddhist philosophy with the practice of yoga. Jenna’s been teaching since 2007. Today she studies primarily with master teachers Tias and Surya Little of Prajna Yoga, with whom she’s completed many workshops, intensives, and the SATYA 1 training, and to whom she offers a deep bow for providing guidance on the path. She’s also completed Sarah Powers’ Level 1 Insight Yoga teacher training and received her initial 200-hour certification from Don and Amba Stapleton at Nosara Yoga Institute.
Jenna brings a lighthearted and gentle quality to her own practice, and seeks to share that approach with students. In the soft flow of Jenna’s classes, alignment is highlighted as a tool for keeping the body safe and building strength; however, the end goal of practice is not perfected asanas but the cultivation of attention, awareness, and insight.
